Three Month Sphere of Refined Gold Spring Retreat 23 February - 19 May 2025

Drubpon Lama Tenzin will guide participants in our annual three month practice of meditation according to the profound instructions in the Sphere of Refined Gold terma with commentary by Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. This retreat is designed to put directly into practice the instructions given in that text which is regularly taught at Gomde Pyrénées by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. The first six weeks of the retreat are focused on the special preliminary practices for Dzogchen and purification of body, speech, and mind. The second six weeks focus on the main part of practice. Participants will view video teachings on resting in meditation and cutting through to primordial purity from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. The structure of the retreat includes 2 group pujas per day but the focus is on individual meditation sessions. The retreat emphasizes silence. The schedule is intensive. Individual sessions during the second portion of the retreat may be done outside to take advantage of Gomde' s unique physical setting.
